COURSE OBJECTIVES
This specialized DNS course is designed for healthcare professionals, golf coaches, strength and conditioning specialists, and movement professionals seeking to enhance performance and injury prevention in golfers through the principles of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization.
Rooted in the developmental kinesiology concepts from the Prague School of Rehabilitation, this course applies DNS methodology specifically to the biomechanics and functional demands of the golf swing. Participants will learn how to assess and correct dysfunctional movement patterns, improve core stability, and optimize joint centration to enhance swing efficiency, power transfer, and overall performance.
Through a combination of lecture, demonstration, and hands-on lab sessions, attendees will:
Understand the principles of DNS and developmental motor patterns relevant to golf.
Analyze the golf swing through the lens of functional joint centration and dynamic stability.
Learn DNS assessment strategies for common compensations and asymmetries seen in golfers.
Apply DNS corrective strategies and exercises tailored to various stages of golf training and rehabilitation.
Integrate DNS concepts into training programs for golfers of all skill levels.
Whether working with amateur or elite golfers, this course equips practitioners with the tools to elevate athletic performance, prevent injury, and build a foundation of resilient movement.
Prerequisites: Prior exposure to DNS concepts or completion of DNS Exercise Course Part I is recommended but not required.

SATURDAY 8:30 - 4:30 PM
SUNDAY 8:30 - 3:00 PM
Open to chiropractors, physical therapists, athletic trainers, massage therapists, and coaches.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Demonstrate an understanding of developmental kinesiology and its relationship with pathology of the locomotor system: a review of theory covered in the A course and introduce a more advanced approach, namely the verticalization process.
Describe the basis for primitive reflexes and postural reactions and their roles in developmental kinesiology.
Introduce basic information about reflex locomotion according to Vojta.
Demonstrate the assessment of babies: attendees will be able to recognize ideal and disturbed locomotor patterns and determine the developmental age of the babies.
Demonstrate and teach proper handling of infants.
Demonstrate application of the DNS assessment and treatment in adult patients with pain and dysfunction within the locomotor system – stabilization assessment and treatment strategy.
Postural analysis & testing of integrated spinal stabilization system – a review of Course A tests and introduction to additional more advanced tests.
Integration of corrective exercises based on newly taught DNS functional tests.
Exercise in differentiated ipsilateral and contralateral static positions, position transfer during locomotor function, exercise progression using unstable surface, resistance against “planned movement,” dual tasking and other challenges in ipsi and contralateral patterns, the transition between ipsilateral and contralateral patterns, and training of isolated segmental movement.
Introduction to cortical functioning – body scheme, quality of relaxation, isolated segmental movements.
Provide more complex clinical management reasoning for clinicians to better integrate more advanced DNS protocols into clinical practice.
Optimally prepare students for the next level of training (Course “C”)
